	On the road Buzet Labin, one of the places you go through is also Šunjevica The biggest place in the county of Labin where the Istroromanians live. The documented information of this place date from the year 1340. The St John Baptist parochial churchwas built on the basis of a church dedicated to St Silvestar in 1838.
On the main altar is a picture showing baptizing of Jesus and the wooden statue of St Paul and Peter. There is also an altar with statues of Blessed Virgin Mary with Child, St Nikola and St Silvestar and the third altar with the statue of the Heart of Jesus. On the cemetery church of St Silvestar you can still see the remnants of frescoes and graffiti in glagolista alphabet dating from the period between 16th and 18th centuries.
